DIVISIONS OF THE FACE

The face can be looked up at and analyzed in various ways. We commonly used methods are discussed ahead -

1. VERTICAL DIVISIONS (THE TWO SIDES OF THE FACE)

When we make a vertical division of the face from the centre, the two sides of the face represents the ancient concept of Yin and Yan. Yin and Yan are the balancing and harmonizing, factors in the universe. They are opposite energies and they cannot exits without each other.

1. Left side of the Face - It indicates the innermost, private self of the person. It shows how the person relates to his family and close friends.

2. Right side of the Face - It indicates the outer personality, or the face the person shows to the world. it is the face that people see when they meet for the first time or deal with him.

2. HORIZONTAL DIVISIONS (THE THREE ZONES OF THE FACE)

The face can also be divided into three horizontal sections, usually known as zones.

The first zone (Upper zone) starts at hairline, or where the hairline would have been in the case of people with receding hairline. It finishes immediately above the eyebrows. This section is called the "Analytical Zone."

The second zone (Middle zone) starts at the top of the eyebrows and finishes immediately below the nose. This section is called the "Ambition Zone.'

The third zone (Lower zone) starts immediately below the nose, and finishes at the bottom of the chin. This section is called the "Basic Zone." It is sometimes called the Grounding Zone also.



1. ANALYTICAL ZONE

This area is also called the intellectual zone.

A person with a long intellectual zone would think first before making any decision.

The person has an evaluating, analyzing and studying nature.

His decision making is logical.

He also loves ideas, enjoys abstract thinking and possesses a good imagination.

A large analytical zone also indicates a happy childhood and early adulthood (from birth to thirty).


2. AMBITION ZONE

A person with a strong ambition zone does not get carried away with the flights of fantasy.

He lives in the reality world and prefers keeping his feet on the ground.

He is always prepared to work hard to improve his situations.

He also enjoys the rewards of success, such as money, status and the ability to enjoy the best of everything.

This person has an air of dignity and nobleness, which is easily recognized by others.

A large ambition zone also indicates success in the middle years (from thirty one to fifty).


3. GROUND ZONE

This zone is also called the Basic Zone or Earth Zone.

A person with a well grounded basic will possess more physical and animal instincts and is fit for manual works.

The person may have a physical, passionate and sensual approach to life.

He also feels secure in his sexual and physical life.

The person lacks ambitious and materialistic desires.

The person may deny any interest in physic matters but will rely on his guilt feelings when making decisions.

A large practical zone indicates a happy old age (fifty one till the end of life).
